God made babies

God made babies
Each one unique
From tiny little hands
To dainty little feet.

Their precious cherub faces
And sweet bright eyes
Fill with happy laughter
At each day's surprise.

God gave them a sweet little coo
That sounds wonderful in the morning
So that Mom and Dad don't mind
Being awakened without warning.

God made them all
And chose in His own way
The perfect child for each Mom and Dad
To bring them joy every day.

Shush little baby and enjoy sweet slumber
While Mommy holds you near her heart
For of all the things your mommy will remember
This time will be such a special part.
May angels near us stare in wonder
At the gift God sent to us on earth
And at earthly mommies' joy and elation
Over each brand new baby's birth.

Now that the cord is cut
And you are now "cordless."

I see you sitting and watching
The games other people play
And I am always so grateful
That God sent you my way!

For it was not a wheel of fortune
But a loving God above
Who sent you down to earth to me
My own precious baby to love!

Goodnight my little sleepyhead
I kiss your cheeks
As I place you in your bed.

You've had such a busy day
So many toys with which to play
So many games of peek a boo
So many things babe must do.

You kept your mommy
in smiles all day
And daddy could hardly wait to say
"I'm home, where is my little one?"
You blessed our day
With so much fun.

So sleep little one
Gently through theis night
And wake us with goo's
And coo's of pure delight.
